How long do Dolce press-on nails last?
Wear time depends on your application method, nail prep and lifestyle.
For longer wear, nail glue can give you up to 2+ weeks with the right prep and application. Adhesive tabs are perfect when you only want your nails on for a few days or for a special event.
What’s the difference between nail glue and adhesive tabs?
It really comes down to how long you want to wear your nails.
Nail glue is best for longer wear and a stronger hold.
Adhesive tabs are great for shorter-term wear and make it easier to remove and reuse your nails.
Both options are included with every Dolce nail set so you can choose what works best for you.
What comes with my Dolce nail set?
Every set comes with 32 nails in a range of sizes to help you find your perfect fit.
You’ll also receive everything you need to apply them including nail glue, adhesive tabs, a nail file, cuticle stick and alcohol prep pad.
How do I know which size will fit me?
Each set includes 32 nails in a range of sizes so there’s plenty of choice to find the best fit for each nail.
Your press-on should fit comfortably from sidewall to sidewall without sitting on your skin.
How long does application take?
Around 10 minutes once you get the hang of it!
One of the reasons Dolce was created was to make having beautiful nails easier to fit into real life without needing hours at the salon.
How do I get the longest wear from my nails?
Prep makes a HUGE difference.
Trim down your natural nails. Push back your cuticles, gently remove all the shine from your natural nails with the nail file and clean them thoroughly with the alcohol prep pad before application. Want to take your prep a step further? Wipe over your natural nails with 100% pure acetone to further dehydrate the nail plate and remove any remaining oils.
Avoid getting your nails wet for at least 1–2 hours afterwards. Applying them before bed is even better because it gives the glue plenty of time to fully set.
Can I reuse my Dolce nails?
Yes! With proper removal and care, your Dolce nails can be reused.
Any remaining glue can be gently buffed from the underside of the press-on before your next application. If you’re using adhesive tabs, they’re even easier to clean up and reuse.
How do I remove my press-on nails?
Never force or pull them off.
Soak your nails in warm soapy water with a little oil and gently work around the edges as the adhesive begins to loosen. Removal time will vary depending on the adhesive used and how long you’ve been wearing them.
Take your time — your natural nails will thank you!
Can I shower or wash my hands while wearing them?
Absolutely. Once your nails are properly applied and the adhesive has had time to set, you can go about everyday life as normal.
For the best hold, avoid prolonged water exposure during the first 1–2 hours after application.
Are Dolce nails suitable for short natural nails?
Yes! You don’t need long natural nails to wear press-ons.
Dolce has a range of lengths and shapes including extra-short options designed to give you that salon look while still feeling practical for everyday life.
If you’re a nail biter or have very short natural nails, I recommend starting with one of our shorter lengths. Once your nails grow a little bit you can go longer.
